Iceland Express increase frequency to Stansted

Shortly after British Airways announced the suspension of its flights between London Gatwick and Iceland, Iceland Express has announced that it will increase the frequency of its flights between London Stansted and Reykjavik. Beginning on February 26 next year, the airline will offer 11 flights per week on this route, which is two more than the summer programme. Flights will begin at £69 one-way, including taxes.

EasyJet will start a new three-time a week service from London Gatwick to the Greek city of Thessaloniki starting on January 30, with one-way tickets starting from £27.99 (€40). In addition, easyJet has also announced the launch of a new route from Newcastle to Murcia, starting on May 17 with flights operating on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with one-way tickets starting from £23.99 (€34).

EasyJet will also launch daily flights from their Madrid base to the Moroccan city of Tangier starting February 1st 2008. Tickets start at €16 one-way including taxes.

Passengers travelling between London Heathrow and south-west London can now take advantage of the 111 service Heathrow - Kingston, which has been extended from December 1st and will run a half hourly journeys throughout the night, seven days a week.

Air Southwest has put their flights to Chambéry for next winter (08/09) on sale. Starting December 20, 2008, Air Southwest will begin flying to the ski-destination from both Plymouth and Newquay.

Sterling is also launching a route to Chambéry, and other ski-destinations. From December 22, weekly Saturday services will be launched between Copenhagen and Chambéry, Genève and Salzburg. There will also be launched a route between Billund and Chambéry, debuting on January 19, 2008.

SkyEurope is offering 15 per cent off one-way fares in their “Make a Christmas Wish” sale. Travel from January 10 to March 18, 2008. Book before December 2.

In other news, they are offering Copenhagen - Prague one-way tickets, including taxes and charges from DKK 159.

Air France offer ends November 30th

Air France’s offer to North and South America ends this Friday (November 30th) for travel before December 15, 2007 and between January 1 and March 31, 2008.

WizzAir is adding a new aircraft at its Sofia base resulting in daily flight London, starting July 12th, instead of the current four flights a week. In addition WizzAir will start a new domestic flight to Varna, as well as flights to Milan-Bergamo, Valencia, Barcelona and Izmir (Turkey), and will increase frequencies on existing services to Rome and Dortmund

Zoom Airlines is to begin a new Belfast to Vancouver route this winter, as well as an extra weekly flight between London Gatwick and the Canadian destination, which will now opearte 3 times a week

In other news, Zoom is to double its flights from Gatwick to Montreal to two per week, and will continue to fly weekly from Glasgow and Manchester to Vancouver and Calgary.

FlyBe has completed its summer 2008 schedule, with more than seven million seats on sale across the UK and Europe. It includes four new routes, from Inverness to Birmingham, Exeter, Manchester and Southampton. The Birmingham route will begin on March 30 and operate daily, with fares beginning at £24.99 (€35) one-way, including taxes and charges. The daily Exeter route will start on May 8, starting at £32.99 (€45).

British Airways has announced plans to launch new routes from London City Airport (as mentioned in yesterday’s blog), London Heathrow and London Gatwick next year.

Flights from Heathrow to Malaga, and from Gatwick to Alicante, Faro, Gibraltar, Ibiza, Malaga, Palma and Tunis will start flying from March 30, 2008. The Heathrow to Malaga route will fly daily, as will the Gatwick to Alicante, Gibraltar, Palma and Ibiza (from June, 2008) routes. The Gatwick to Faro route will have 13 flights per week, Gatwick to Malaga will be twice daily and Gatwick to Tunis will be five times per week.

BA will suspend its flights from Gatwick to Aberdeen, Nice, Prague, Reykjavik and Split, and from London City to Milan Malpensa.

Four new international routes with BA CityFlyer

The British Airways owned airline, BA CityFlyer, will, beginning in March, launch four new flights from their base at London City Airport. The first service to commence will be going to Nice, on the French Riviera, followed by routes to Amsterdam, Barcelona and Warsaw being launched in May. On top of that, BA CityFlyer will up the number of daily routes between London City Airport and Zurich to five flights a day.

Centralwings are set to begin flying between Manchester and Poznan. Four times weekly flights will begin operating on March 30, 2008.

Due to higher demand on flights to China, SAS will increase the number of weekly routes on their Stockholm to Beijing service up to six. The changes will take place from March 2008.

Sterling launches two sales

Starting March 30, 2008, Flybe will launch two new routes to Jersey. Flights will begin from Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport, with prices starting at € 59.99, and Inverness Airport, with tickets from € 74.99. Both services will be operated weekly, on Sundays.

Sterling has launched two different sales – a “Ski sale” and a “Christmas shopping sale”. They are offering one-way fares to Ski-destinations as Salzburg, Milano and Chambéry from DKK 549. The Christmas sale includes cheap one-way tickets to Big Cities as Stockholm, Berlin, Amsterdam and London from DKK 260.

bmi has launched a sale, with return tickets available from € 112.50, including taxes and charges. The offer runs until April 1, 2008. Booking must be made at least seven days in advance. Travel must be finished before April 9, and a Saturday night is required as minimum stay. Deals are available on routes to Glasgow, Zurich and Copenhagen, amongst others.

Delta Air Lines is offering fares from the UK to America, with prices starting at € 316.50 for a round-trip. Travel until March 20, 2008, stay at least one Saturday night, but no more than 12 month. Destinations on sale include Atlanta and New York.

XL starts Gatwick to Knock

Starting December 14th, XL.com will start the only scheduled route between London Gatwick and Knock in the west of Ireland. The service will operate 6 days a week. Tickets are on sale now starting at £19 one-way including taxes (€27). Check schedules on momondo.com.

Book by November 30th and Emirates have reduced fares to a num ber of international destinations across its network, for travel between Aopril 16th and June 30th.

Book by December 4th and Australian carrier Quantas has reduced prices to Australia and New Zealand on flights between April 16th and June 15th next year.

Starting May 17th, Wizz Air will operate flights from its base in Budapest to Barcelona-Girona in Spain. Flights will operate twice weekly, on Tuesday’s and Saturday’s leaving at 5am from Budapest and 7:50 from Girona.

US Airways will open a new service between London Heathrow and Philadelphia. The flight will take off on March 29, 2008, and will be operated with one daily flight in each direction, at 12:50 from London and 22:45 from Philadelphia (both local times). Tickets will be purchasable from December 1.

Monarch is offering return tickets from € 53, including taxes, in their latest sale “festive fares”. Routes are on offer to sunny destinations as Alicante, Malaga and Lanzarote. Book by midnight (GMT) on November 22.

easyJet will be offering two new flights to Jersey. From March 31, 2008, daily flights will be available from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, while flights from Luton will debut on April 21, 2008, also operating daily. The routes will be easyJets first to the Island of Jersey.

With the ski season already begun, easyJet has put many ski-destinations on sale, with return tickets costing from € 49.47, including taxes and charges. Flights are available to Basel, Geneva, Grenoble, Innsbruck, Lyon, Munich, Turin, Venice and Zurich, wherefrom more than 20 ski resorts are accessible.

SAS add Copenhagen - Ålesund

SAS will commence flights from Copenhagen to Ålesund on the west coast of Norway with its summer schedule next year, starting March 30th. SAS will fly daily between the two destinations, except on Saturday’s.

Iceland Air have announced a weekly flight from Reykjavik to Warsaw with the first flight on May 21st 2008. Flights can be searched via momondo and flights leave Reykjavik on Wednesdays at 14:35 and leave Warsaw at 21:30.

Centralwings have begun flights from their Katowice base to Hurghada in Egypt. They will fly weekly on this route until the middle of March 2008, leaving Hurghada at 15:50 and Katowice at 20:30 on Thursday’s.

Centralwings have started four time weekly flights to Dublin on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday which can be booked via Momondo.

Finally note that Centralwings offers a 20% discount for children.

Aer Lingus with three new routes

Transavia is set to launch two new flights from their base at the Paris Orly Airport. The flights, starting in mid-December, will both go to the Canary Islands; Las Palmas and Tenerife Sur.

Eastern Airways has just launched their first route to France. The service, which debuted Thursday November 15, flies from Southampton International Airport to Angers Loire. They will operate the flight three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Aer Lingus has announced three new routes for the upcoming summer season. New routes will open between Dublin and Ibiza, Belfast and Nice, and between Cork and Jersey. Introductory fares begin at € 19, one-way, excluding taxes and fares.

In other news, Aer Lingus has announced that flights from Dublin to Copenhagen, Helsinki, Gatwick, Bucharest and Lanzarote, and from Cork to Munich, now will be operated all year round. Also, the frequencies on routes from Dublin to Athens, Barcelona, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Naples, Krakow, Orlando, Rome, San Francisco, Washington Dulles and Zurich, and from Cork to Malaga, Rome and Berlin will increase.

Several airlines annouce new routes

Flyglobespan will be offering a new flight between Bristol International Airport and Toronto, beginning on May 26. The flight will be weekly, being operated on Mondays, with return tickets starting from € 440.

From March 29, 2008 Continental Airlines will launch twice-daily flights from both New York (Newark) and Houston to London Heathrow.

Wizz Air will launch three new routes from their base in Bucharest (Baneasa Airport). The new routes wil go to Milan Orio al Serio and Brussels Charleroi (both operated three times per week), and to Cluj-Napoca (operated four times-weekly).

Ryanair has just launched a new service from Doncaster Sheffield Airport to Alicante, Spain. The route is operated three times weekly.

New Airlines in Momondo

Last week Momondo added the Russian airlines, Rossiya, Vladivostok Avia and Kdavia to its ever growing list of airlines. Rossiya and Kdavia fly domestic and international routes to and from Europe, whilst Vladivostok Avia fly to China, Japan and South Korea, as well as Moscow to Vladivostok.

In addition Syrian carrier, Syrian Air, with destinations throughout the world.

Norwegian Air Shuttle will start new routes to from Oslo to Ibiza, Kos, Rhodes, Venice, Rijeka (Croatia) and the northern Norwegian city of Kirkenes starting with their summer schedule next year. Tickets are already on sale.

Wizz Air have added two more flights from Cluj-Napoca in Romania bringing the total number of flights from this base to 8, including Luton, which started on November 13th. Flights to Valencia and Milan will commence on May 15th.

In other news, WizzAir have extended until Monday November 19th their offer of 800.000 one-way flights starting at €25, all inclusive.

Transavia have added more flights to the Paris (Orly) base. Starting next month, Transavia will fly Las Palmas (leaving Paris on Friday’s at 13:35 and las Palmas at 17:15) and Tenerife (leaving Paris Saturday evening at 21:40, returning on Sundays early morning) during the winter season.

Air France increases fuel surcharge.

As British Airways announced they would earlier this week, Air France will also increase the fuel surcharge on all flight booked from today (November 14). Air France will add € 2 per short-haul flight, and € 10 per long haul flight.
In other news, Air France will add a fifth daily flight to their route between Copenhagen and Paris during the spring.

Transavia will launch a new flight from their base in Paris Orly to Marrakech, Morocco. Flights will begin from March 28, 2008.

Lufthansa has announced that it will introduce a new three-time daily flight between Frankfurt and Bristol. Flights will begin on March 30, 2008, and prices will start from € 54, including taxes and charges.

SAS to start flights to San Francisco

SAS have announced that they will start flights to San Francisco and New Dehli, starting in October 2008. Tickets aren’t yet on sale, but watch this space for more news.

Monarch Airlines has put thousands of seats on sale for £13.99 one-way, including taxes to, amongst others, destinations such as Alicante, Almeria, Faro, Malaga and Murcia from Aberdeen, Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester. This offer ends Thursday November 15th.

SkyEurope is giving tickets away on flights starting December 1st across many of its destinations. You pay only taxes and charges.

British Airways will increase the fuel surcharge on all flights booked from November 15. Due to the increase in cost of oil, British Airways have decided to add € 15 per flight for long haul flights less than 9 hours (now € 68) , € 22 per flight for long haul flights over 9 hours (now € 82), and add € 3 to short haul flights (now € 15).

MyAir will from December 17 open a new route between Barcelona and Bari. The route will fly three times per week until the end of March 2008.

Bmibaby will launch two new routes from February 12, 2008. The routes will go from Birmingham to Krakow and from Glasgow International to Knock.

In other news, bmibaby is offering winter destinations on sale from € 27, one-way including taxes and charges. Travel from Birmingham, Cardiff, East Midlands and Manchester to places like Amsterdam, Geneva and Rome. Book by Tuesday, November 13.

Germanwings giving seats away

Book by November 11th, Germanwings is giving seats away - you pay the taxes and charges on flights from November 19th 2007 until the end of February.

bmibaby has announced new routes from Birmingham to Krakow in Poland and from Glasgow to Knock in Ireland. Birmingham to Krakow flights will begin on February 12, with tickets costing from £21.99 one-way and operating on Tuesday’s and Saturday’s. Flights between Glasgow and Knock, in western Ireland, will also begin on February 12, with tickets beginning at £18.99 one-way, including taxes and operate on Tuesday’s, Thursday’s and Sunday’s.

Ryanair continues its sale of seats and has started from its new Bristol base with flights to Budapest, Derry, Knock, Milan, Porto, Riga, Wroclaw, Bratislava, Dinard, Poznan, Rzeszow and Wroclaw.

Travellers to London Stansted can from the new year take advantage of 13 additional train services per week, especially early mornings. 40% of passengers getting to and from the airport use public transport.

German flag carrier Lufthansa is to increase its fuel surcharge for long-haul flights by €10 per leg on long-haul tickets sold from November 14th. The surchage per longhaul segment will now be €77 (£53.60).

Sterling has 500.000 tickets on sale.

Sterling will open a new route between Copenhagen and Bergen, as the first low-cost airline. The route, that until now only as been operated by SAS, will start off from March 31, 2008. Sterling will operate the route four times a day on weekdays, but only one flight from Bergen on Saturday and one from Copenhagen on Sunday. Prices will start at DKK 359 for one-way tickets.

In other news, Sterling has put 500.000 tickets on sale for prices under DKK 500. The offer counts flights to all of Sterling’s routes, which counts over 40 destinations in Europe. Travel until April 30, 2008. Book by November 14.

SkyEurope has launched its “Freezing Days – Hot Fares” sale, with 100.000 tickets available from DKK 199, all-inclusive. Travel between November 25 and March 18, 2008. SkyEurope operates four times weekly flights from Copenhagen to Vienna and Prague. Book by November 11.

Iceland Express will operate new summer routes next year. Routes will be established from Copenhagen to both Akureyri and Egilsstadir, and also from Reykjavik and Stockholm Arlanda and Oslo International.

Flynordic start flights from Arlanda to Tallin and Bordeaux

Swedens Flynordic will reinstate their Stockholm Arlanda to Tallin route starting March 30th 2008. They will operate the route four times weekly, Monday, Wednesday and Friday leaving Stockholm at 11:50 and on Sunday leaving at 13:45. Return from Tallin is at 14:20/16:15. Currently tickets are available for just over €20 one way inclusive taxes.

Flynordic will also start operations to Bordeaux from Stockholm Arlanda. Starting April 3rd, flights will operate on Thursdays leaving Stockholm at 9:30 and returning from Bordeaux at 13:00 and Sundays leaving Stockholm at 7:00 returning at 9:30. Fares start at around €20 one way inclusinve taxes.

Croatia Airlines will start operations from Zagreb to Copenhagen in May 2008, operating on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Bmi has announced it will commence a 3 time weekly flight from London Heathrow to Dammam in Saudi Arabia. The routes will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays leaving Heathrow at 11.30 reaching Dammam at 22:35, returning the following day from Damman at 00:01 (and 00.50 on Sundays) arriving in London at 5:55 (6:45 on Sundays).

Icelandic Sterling will operate daily flights (except Saturday) between London Gatwick and Malmo in Sweden beginning on March 24, 2008 and operating until October 25th. Leaving Malmø at 19:15 and arriving at Gatwick 20:15, returning at 20:45 arriving in Malmø 23:50pm - except on Sundays where flights leave Malmø at 15:40 and Gatwick at 18:45. Flights can be booked already now with fares as low as €2 one way exclusive taxes (e.g. Gatwick to Malmø April 15th to 18th).

EasyJet cuts 20 % off all flights in newest sale.

Air Berlin started operated a new route between London Stansted and Munich today. Flights will be twice daily on weekdays, while being operated only once in the weekends. Prices start at € 34, including taxes and charges.

FlyNordic will launch two new routes from their base in Stockholm Arlanda. From March 30, 2008 a route will open to Tallinn, Estonia, being operated four times a week. The week after, the other route will open to Bordeaux, France.

EasyJet is celebrating New Year early with a 20 per cent sale on every seat, every route, everyday on all flights for travel from January 1 to March 19, 2008. Book before midnight on November 6, 2007.

SAS will add an extra daily flight, and that way double the number of daily flights, on the route between Copenhagen and Moscow, starting from March 2008.

RyanAir cheap tickets

Book latest Monday November 5th in the UK, and November 8th in Europe Ryanair has a Europe-wide sale with flights starting at £10/€10/89DKR one-way incluuding taxes and charges, on travel between November 17th until March 12th, 2008. These fares are not available between December 18th and January 8th or during the school winter break for flights originating in each country.

easyJet has launched its four-times weekly schedule between Liverpool and the Portuguese capital Lisbon. The route will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, with an 8:15/8:30 departure from Liverpool.

Austrian Airlines is offering “redticket” fares to Vienna from London Heathrow for travel starting November 15th and until March 31st, for £99 return including taxes and charges. Other destinations are added from April 1st including Graz, Innsbruck, Linz, Salzburg and Klagenfurt. Austrian flies from London heathrow, London City and Manchester.

Virgin Atlantic has cut the fares to the Caribbean and America from its UK base - but bookings must be made by November 13th.

SAS announces new route from Oslo.

SAS is set to open a new flight from Bristol to Oslo International Airport from next April. The new service is prompted by the success of the newly opened Bristol – Stockholm route. The fare, which will be launched on April 1, will be operated three times a week (Tue, Thu, Sun), and will cost from € 41.99, one-way with taxes.

EasyJet has launched a new route to Krakow, in Poland, from Bournemouth. The route, that was launched yesterday (October 30), is being operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and prices start from € 37.99 one-way including taxes.

Air Southwest will add new routes from their bases in Newquay and Plymouth. The new routes will premiere on April 28, 2008. Newquay will get routes to Newcastle and Glasgow International, while Plymouth will get routes to Newcastle, Glasgow International, Dublin and Cork.

Iceland Express has announced the launch of five new summer 2008 routes. Beginning in the end of May 2008, routes will fly from Reykjavik to Basel, Eindhoven, Frankfurt Hahn, Gothenburg Landvetter, and Paris Charles de Gaulle.

FlyMonarch offer payment via Paypal

Starting summer of 2008, Sterling will start two new routes between Copenhagen and Valencia and Murcia in Spain. This adds to Sterlings established route network to Spain consisting of Barcelona, Alicante, Malaga og Mallorca. Copenhagens Airport report that traffic to spain has increased 10,8% in 2007 - not least thanks to AirBerlins route to Majorca.

MyAir will launch two new routes in December 2007. Starting on December 3rd from Milan (Orio al Serio) to Venice (Marco Polo), scheduledon Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Fridays, leaving Milan at 12:55 and Venice at 6:55. Flights take 50 minutes. Starting on December 15th, from Bucharest (Baneasa) to Brussels (International), scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday’s, leaving Bucharest at 13:13 and Brussels at 15:30. Tickets are on sale as low as €2.99 one way excluding taxes and charges.

FlyMonarch.com claims to be the first European airline that offers passengers to pay using the online payment system PayPal, as an alternative to payment via credit and debit cards. Through its close association to eBay, Paypal claims to have more that 115m accounts in 190 countries, with 15m account holders in the UK alone. Not only airline passengers can take advantage of this new offer, also travel agencies now have an alternative payment method to credit cards.

PayPal announced similar deals with US carriers United, Northwest and Southwest since the summer of 2007.

Why business travellers need to be upgraded

American GetThere asked 100 Corporate Travel Managers for the best excuses they had heard for booking outside corporate policy. The survey was conducted by GetThere during this year’s annual National Business Travel Association (NBTA) trade show in Boston.

The best excuse, submitted by a west coast-based travel manager: “I upgraded to First Class because I can’t afford the drinks in Coach.”

The other nine of the top ten travel excuses submitted by corporate travel managers, according to GetThere:

Sterling is making an opening offer on some of their new routes. Get tickets from DKK 199 to 3 of their new routes, including Copenhagen to East Midlands, Brussels and Dortmund, as well as some of the old routes to Berlin, Amsterdam and Stockholm. Brussels Airlines are celebrating their birthday, by taking 25 % off all flights, on all dates, on all routes to Europe and Africa. Book between November 1 and November 4.

Clickair will launch two new routes from their base in Barcelona, starting next year. The routes will go to Spanish city Oviedo and Bulgarian capital Sofia. Both routes will start taking off on February 1, 2008.

Ryanair will open new routes from their bases in Shannon and Dublin. The routes, which already are in Ryanair’s 50 % off lowest fares sale, are going from Shannon to Alicante, and from Dublin to Palma and Santander in Spain, and Zadar in Croatia.

Sterling will launch six new winter routes this season. Routes will go from Copenhagen to Chambéry, Madeira, East Midlands, Bruxelles and Dortmund, while Billund will get a flight to Oslo.

Israir, an Israeli based airline, is set to launch a three time weekly service between London Stansted and Eilat in Israel. The flight will first take off this winter, and will be Israir’s second flight from Stansted, adding to the route going to Tel Aviv.

Jet2.com will launch two new routes to sunny destinations from October 29. Fares will go from Newcastle to Las Palmas, on Gran Canaria, and Arrecife, on Lanzarote. Flights to Las Palmas will be operated twice a week, on Mondays and Saturdays, while flights to Arrecife only will be operated on Thursdays.

Swiss International Air Lines will increase the frequency on its route between Manchester and Basel. They will add an extra flight weekly, upping the tally to 4 weekly flights. They will also launch a new service between Manchester and Geneva, beginning on December 16.

Northwest will open a new daily route between Minneapolis and Paris in collaboration with their Skyteam-partner KLM. The route will open in April, next year. Also next year, another Skyteam-partner, Delta Air Lines, will open a new route between Salt Lake City and Paris. The route will be the first route to Europe from Utah.

Sterling is offering tickets to the biggest cities in Europe in their “Christmas Shopping Sale”. Tickets are available from DKK 99 on travelling from around Denmark to cities as London, Barcelona, Berlin and Paris.

Iceland Express is offering flights to Iceland from DKK 495 / € 66, including all taxes and charges. Travel throughout November, and book before noon GMT on October 29.

Wizz Air will stop operating flights to Tirgu Mures in Transylvania. They will instead move the flights to Cluj-Napoca. From November 13 flights from Barcelona, London Luton, Budapest and Rome will be moved, while a new flight from Dortmund will be launched on February 28, 2008.

In related news, Wizz Air will move some of their flights to Rome from the Ciampino airport to the Fiumicino, starting on October 28. The change is due to new traffic limitations placed upon the Ciampino airport. The affected flights will be on the ones coming from Budapest, Tirgu Mures / Cluj-Napoca and Sofia.

The new collaboration Air France-KLM, is increasing their seat capacity on many long distance routes in their new winter schedule. KLM will foremost increase on their routes to the Middle East and on transatlantic route made available in company with the American airline Northwest. Air France will mostly focus on their routes to Latin America, Africa and Asia. All in all they will have 6.2 % more seats available for the new season.

SkyEurope is offering a Halloween “Trick or Treat!” sale. One-way tickets are available from DKK 199, all inclusive. SkyEurope fly to Vienna and Prague from Copenhagen, but other flights around Europe are also available in the same sale. Travel between November 1 and December 15. Book by October 28.

Norwegian Air Shuttle will open a new flight between Oslo International and Malta from April 5, 2008. The flight will be operated three times a week.

Eastern Airways will open a new route between Southampton International Airport and Angers Loire Airport. The flight will be their first to France. The three times weekly service will open on November 15.

Ryanair has launched a new sale with flights being offered from “a fiver” (£ 5), circa € 7.50, including taxes and charges. Travel from November 6 to December 18, and again from January 8 to March 12, 2008. Fly from all over the UK to destinations as Barcelona, Brussels and Milan.

SAS launches new direct flight to Dubai.

SAS will launch a new three times weekly flight between Copenhagen and Dubai, beginning October 31, while adding an extra daily flight between Copenhagen and Moscow, upping the daily tally from one to two.

In related news, American Airlines will open a new route to Moscow, from their base in Chicago. The route will open in June next year, and will be operated six times weekly.

Flynordic are set to launch three new routes from Stockholm Arlanda, beginning in February 2008. The first route will open to Geneva, while flights to Split and Dubrovnik will take off from April 28, 2008.

Jet2.com has put flights on sale for certain summer 2008 routes. Flights can be booked from Blackpool, Leeds and Newcastle, with fares aroud the UK starting from € 22.50, one-way including taxes and charges. International flights can be booked to sunny destinations such as Menorca and Tenerife, with one-ways starting from € 59.99, all inclusive.

Ryanair will from the start of May launch three new routes between Bristol and France. Connections will be made to Bergerac, Beziers and Pau, and will be operated three times weekly. In other news, Ryanair has launched their 2008 summer schedule, where a total of 40 millions seats on 556 routes are on sale.

British Airways will launch two new flights from London Gatwick. Daily flights will go to the Polish city Poznan from March 30 and three time daily flights to Antalya in Turkey from April 10

Varig, the Brazilian airline, will launch two new routes from London to Brazil, beginning October 28. The routes will go to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Brussels Airlines will have an evening sale tomorrow, Thursday October 18th, from 6 PM to midnight, with over 120.000 seats to top winter destinations. Prices start at € 49,99. Travel to nice destinations as Turin, Munich and Ljubljana. Travel between December 17 2007 and until March 27 2008.

Jet2.com will launch a new route between Blackpool and Ibiza, which will operate during of 2008. The flight is due to start on June 30.

FlyGlobespan will from April 2, 2008 launch a new route between Durham Tees Valley and Paphos in Cyprus.

United Airlines has launched a new ”Delicious Deals” sale, with flights to all over North America. Fly to destinations as Charlotte, Las Vegas and San Diego. Prices on a return ticket start at € 400, including taxes and charges. Travel between November 1, and March 20, 2008, but only on travel between Monday and Thursday. Minimum stay is a Saturday night, while the maximum stay is a month. Book before Wednesday, October 31.

Skyways will open a new route between Stockholm Arlanda and Örnköldsvik. The route will be operated during weekdays, and on sundays. The flight will start in late November.
